You're Invited to Café Asia! Shaping Livable Futures for Our Children

Please join us on May 9-10 for a very special World Café gathering with friends and colleagues
from Asia and around the world. What brings us together is our recognition that never before
have the decisions we make on a daily basis had such far-reaching impacts on the generations
yet to be born. Reaching across generations, nationalities, professions and sectors, this inspiring
Café dialogue will engage each participant's unique contributions and connections in consciously
shaping and working towards futures that our children and grandchildren will thank us for.

Café Asia is being held in conjunction with the Quest for Global Healing Conference in Ubud, Bali,
Indonesia... but you do not need to attend the main conference to participate in Café Asia.

(Please visit
questforglobalhealing.org/cafeasia.htm for more details and to register for either
the full conference or Café Asia.)

What is the World Café?

Building on the rich dialogue traditions of Ken Tan in China, Kopitiam in Singapore,  Banjar in
Bali, and Café in the West, the World Cafe is a leading edge conversational process that is
fostering collective wisdom and committed action in business, government, education, and
community based organizations on six continents. (Please visit
theworldcafe.com) By
constructing strong bridges between productive dialogue and practical action, the World Café
demonstrates the power of "conversations that matter" to impact core questions related to our
lives and work.

What to Expect

In Café Asia, we will weave together our individual passions, diverse cultural perspectives, and
deeply shared commitment to nourishing positive futures across the boundaries that often
separate us. Drawing on the World Café and related dialogic processes, the creative arts of Bali,
and the participants' personal and professional gifts, we will:

  • Give voice to the "questions that matter" at the heart of our lives and work.

  • Explore practical ways to work across traditional boundaries in order to serve the
organizations and communities to which we belong and to shape futures that our children
and grandchildren can feel proud of.

  • Experience first hand the innovative World Café process and the collective wisdom that
can emerge when blending Eastern and Western traditions in this type of strategic dialogue

  • Connect with the growing Asian and global network of pioneering individuals and
organizations in business, government and community organizations using the World Café
and related collaborative processes to foster positive systemic change at every level of
    organizational life and society.
