NOTES I: CAFE ASIA PROGRAMME AND RELATED NOTES
PROGRAMME FLOW:
MORNING
8.30 Time-start – register 8.30 am – start 9 am
9.00 Welcome and introductions
Opening activity – ice-breaker getting to know each other as well as to share (and to
create a space for them to write-down) their personal questions – have it up on the
wall?
Opening stories (liked the carpark, the postman stories – liked those as mind-joggers) –
share something about World Cafe
In their groups, share a story that to them represents an A, B or C?
Invite persons at tables to share a story they heard that spoke to them and why? (no
big deal – preferably without the mikes?) – share beyond their tables
Share the next steps: World-Café – they may choose to do a few different things –
have sharings in pairs, threes, or at a table at the café – they could either go to up to
two topics or stay with the one they have chosen and wait for people to come them –
they decide the process and they decide what works for them best.

INFORMATION ON THE VENUE AND RELATED DETAILS:
Policy: To cover costs
What do we do with the excess we collect? Given more sign-up? Money is refunded? I
am inclined, so that people realize that it really does not cost much to do an activity
like this on their own / more often? Then it will become a "group of friends" who
gathered and went 'dutch' for the occassion.
Each room is priced at $320 (excludes GST) for a full day session on a weekday from 9am-
5pm. Extension is available at $60 (excludes GST) per hour. Please note that there will
be a cancellation fee of 50% of the room booking charges for cancellation less than 3
working days from the starting date of event.
We regret that Springleaf Tower (click on link for map) only provides season parking and
wish to apologize for any inconvenience caused. However, there is a sheltered drop-
off point located on Level 2 (entrance via car park ramp from Prince Edward Road).
