Date:    July 31, 2006 (Mon)

Conversational processes such as
Open Space Technology (OST), The World Café (TWC) and
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) make possible for the first time in human history for everyone present in a
meeting to have comparable power to influence the outcome of their interactions.

Central to this happening is that everyone gives each other respect.

Prior to the availability of these conversational approaches has respect ever been accorded
naturally, outside the confines of 'inner circles' such as family or work units and particular 'faith
based' communities, to whoever comes?  You would be very welcome to come along to contribute to
a conversation on these questions.

Programme:

2.30 pm        Welcome and introductions

2.40 pm

Open Space Topics led by
the participants:
Welcome and Introductions
Here is a brief record of what
emerged in the event:
Gallery Walk on Open Space Topics:

How do you encourage people
to share knowledge in an
environment where knowledge
is power?
As a facilitator how do you
manage different perspectives /
opinions?
How do we consciously and
consistently act out of
abundance rather than deficit
mentality?
Promoting life-long learning
culture in an organization?
How do we measure ROI on
T&D?
When is life abundant?
Little steps we can take to help
management manage from a
point of abundance over
scarcity?
Discussion Question:
By the end of the session, most of us
can agree that it is
not how much we
have but our outlook of life that allows
us to feel the abundance.

Follow-up Questions:
Question #1
"What is happening today that is
reinforcing the deficit mentality in
us and what might be some things we
can do about it?"

Question #2
"While the three processes were
important, the topic per se was just
as, if not, more important.
Would you know of any other
processes that can support it as well
as these three processes did?"

Question #3
What more questions that matters
open up for you?
Participants in conversation during the Open Space on the topic:  "Ways we can create
awareness on abundance rather than deficit."
