Name: Mr. Rajinder Raina
Rajinder hails from the beautiful state of Jammu and
Kashmir. He is a Bachelor of Engineering from
BITS Pilani and has earned an MBA from the McGill
University of Canada, specialising in 'Corporate
Finance' and 'Information Systems'.
Rajinder has spent more than 25 years in the
corporate world, both in India and abroad. Starting
with his career in Engineers India Ltd where he was
a submarine pipeline specialist, Rajinder worked in
different capacities and areas of operations. His
last assignment was that of Director in-charge India
operations for Semco-part of a US multinational
Sigma Electric. He started Semco in Pune with a
team of 50 people in 1998 which grew to about
1500 in 2005.
Semco’s remarkable success as a 100% export
oriented unit was the result of excellence in lean
manufacturing, robust supply chain management,
focus on business processes and wholesome
leadership at all levels.
Rajinder has a passion for coaching young people
and teaches ‘systems thinking’ at Rewachand
Bhojwani school. He is on the Board of Governance
for ‘Sadhana Center for Management and
Leadership Development Institute’, Pune.
Rajinder lives in Pune with his wife Anjana, son
Anubhav and daughter Aditi.
